The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for non-native speakers, and is recognised by thousands of professional organisations globally.
Our IELTS programmes have been designed by experienced English educators to cover all aspects of IELTS exams – speaking, writing, reading and listening – helping to build students’ vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and confidence skills. With courses customised to their individual needs, students will drill down into exam technique and preparation, learning how to effectively answer questions, with extensive teacher support every step of the way.
IELTS for General Training
Our General IELTS programme is designed for students aiming to receive a score of 5.0 or above in the IELTS exam.
This course focuses on building a foundation of essential English language skills, which are vital for everyday social and work situations. Students will get to grips with commonly used vocabulary and grammar, enhancing their communication skills and enabling them to feel confident about using English in their daily lives.
New Zealand’s government requires evidence of English language proficiency for many types of visa, including those of Skilled Migrant, Entrepreneur, Parent Resident and Dependent Child (more information on visa requirements can be found on the government website). As such, this programme is ideal for those who need to take IELTS exams for visa applications, and has been created especially to help students reach a level of English proficiency necessary to achieve these certifications.
IELTS for Academic Training
Our Academic IELTS programme is designed for students aiming to receive a score of 6.5 or above in the IELTS exam.
This course is ideal for those wanting to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level, as well as for professional registration purposes. It has been designed specifically to help students reach a language proficiency suitable for studying or training in an English speaking environment, and covers vocabulary and grammar constructions frequently used in an academic context.
Students will be taught in-depth how to tackle IELTS exams, learning more about the exam’s structure, creating a study plan, understanding how to read and answer questions correctly, and completing sample tasks and timed practice exercises – ensuring they gain the confidence and capabilities to pass the exam with flying colours.
